the famous question

how would you know if a person likes you, when you are super close (a.k.a. barakada)? (answers coming from different people)

1. When the person asks you out all the time. - duh? e barkada nga kayo e! malamang ask ka nya always. Fine. When the person asks you out pero 80% of the time, his/her focus is with you. The person always sees to it na you're ok. And the person always sits beside you.

2. When the person gives you extra attention than others - how would you know? Basta malalaman mo lang yun kung di ka manhid. - uhhm. di ba assuming ka na nun if isipin mo na gusto ka nya because of the attention? basta, iba ka nya i-treat kesa sa iba sa barkada mo.

3. When the person texts/calls you all the time or at least takes the initiative to talk to you once a day - hello? barkada? malamang nangyayari un! basta iba. yung may extra effort on his/her part!

4. When the person is "touchy" - define touchy? e pano kung malambing lang shang person? sige erase erase...

5. Ask the person "may gusto ka sakin no?" and he/she will answer "oo meron, baket?" and you will say "e kasi may gusto din ako sayo e" and parang joke lang na walang nangyari.. and that night, he/she will text you.. "yung sinabi mo ba kanina.. totoo ba yun?" - haha! scripted naman nitong sagot na to! hahahaha goodluck naman diba?

6. Style: Ask the person who he/she likes sa kabilang table. After that, ask him/her "e sino naman gusto mo sa table na to?" - haha! style mo bulok chong!

7. Just wait for the person to tell you he/she likes you. Don't assume. Don't dwell on it. - hanggang sa tumanda kayong dalawa? Hanggang sa magka bf/gf sha? Wala bang limit yun? Like until when ka magantay? Wala! Magantay ka lang! - wow chong! hassle!

8. If he/she is really serious, papaalam nya agad sayo yun.. so be patient! - chong, di lahat ng tao patient! Usual sa tao ang maging "sigurista", di gagawa ng move hangga't di nya alam na kahit papano, may chance. - e pano nya malaman may chance? Putik, problema nya na yun! Baket ko pa puproblemahin? - haha. may point ka!

In short, there is no one way to know if a person (lalo na when that person is your barkada) to know if he/she likes you unless magsabi sha.. so, just let it be.. don't assume, don't expect.
